The Electronic Poetry Portal was created by a collaboration of:

Alice Hickcox is the Electronic Text Specialist for the Beck Center. She translated the SGML Document Type Descriptions into XML, worked closely with programmer Julia Leon to translate the poetry databases from SGML to XML, to harvest the associated metadata, to develop processes for loading and testing the results, and to load the documents produced into the search database.

Chuck Spornick is the Coordinator of the Beck Center.

Julia Leon, senior programmer, is a member of the Academic Technologies Group of the Information Technologies Division. She developed the first release of the Electronic Poetry Portal, which included the following major components: workflow system for building the content, RDF/Dublin Core Metadata for collections, and web application using the Cocoon web publishing framework.

Katherine Ellison is a graduate student in the English Department, the Assistant Director of the Emory Writing Center, and also does part-time website and graphical design for the Beck Center. She designed the layout and created the images for the Electronic Poetry Portal.

Rebecca Sutton Koeser is a graduate student in the English Department, and a Woodruff Library Graduate Fellow in the Beck Center for the 2003-2004 school year. She assisted in improving queries and troubleshooting other glitches for the second release of the Electronic Poetry Portal, and added the full-text search and the World War I Poetry collection to the site.
